Description
Even today Ernst Jünger (1895‑1998) still continues to provoke debate. However, the source of this provocation is mainly his militant early work, whereas the civilian years of the Federal Republic have generally remained obscure. The contributions of this book focus exclusively on Jünger’s writings from the time after 1945 and explore their interrelationship with the discourse of the Federal Republic. The authors emphasize the aesthetic strategies which form the basis for the political positioning and the characteristics of Jünger’s texts in relation to that period in history.
