Abstract
A new genus of Diaspididae, GEODIASPIS, is described and assigned to the tribe Diaspidini of the subfamily Diaspidinae. The adult female and 1st- and 2ndstage males and females of the type-species, G. arundinariae, n. sp., are described and illustrated. The new species was collected on Arundinaria sp. in Spalding County, Georgia.
