Abstract
Forming the last part of the new 12 km long railway line, the Weidenholz Viaduct crosses the industrial area of Dietlikon. The bridge begins in the south near a small forest between the Kriesbachstrasse and the Federal Highway N1 (Zurich-Winterthur-St. Gallen), crossing first the Motorway with six lanes in a skew angle, then leading over the industrial area and its secondary road Weidenholzstrasse and crossing finally, again not perpendicularly, the Neue Winterthurstrasse, before reaching the abutment north at the already existing of Dietlikon. The total length of the bridge is 556 m and consists of 17 spans with a typical span of 36.55 m. The rail level is about 6.00 to 11.00 m above ground.
