Abstract
A measure of foliar quantity is needed to compare rates of physiological processes among Pinus sylvestris L. seedlings of different sizes. Correlation coefficients were calculated among all possible pairs of four potential measures, fresh weight, dry weight, volume and total length of needles. All pairs were highly correlated except total length and dry weight of needles.
