Abstract

Leafy summerwood cuttings were taken from nine tamarack trees ranging in age from 19 to 41 years. Cuttings were placed in three rooting media in a split-plot design under intermittent mist. After 4 months, 69 percent of all cuttings had formed roots. Rooting success varied from 23 to 93 percent among clones, but did not differ significantly among media. Rooting success was not correlated with otter age. Forest Sci. 30:392-394.
