Abstract

Timber operating companies are today employing a high percentage of forestry school graduates. To determine if standard curricula in forestry train men adequately for industrial employment Oregon State College made a study of functions performed by foresters employed by Northwest lumber companies. They conclude that basic forestry is essential, together with training in industrial woods practice.
