Abstract
Of the several types of cryoglobulinemia, those associated with large amounts of monoclonal protein with antibody activity directed against a serum component may behave as an immune complex. The extremely large amount of monoclonal protein and its immune complex nature may allow prolonged activation of inflammatory mediators such as complement. Two discrete syndromes, that of Mixed Cryoglobulinemia and that of anti-albumin monoclonal antibodies are reviewed in this article.
