Abstract

Excess volumes VEmeasured at the temperature 313.15 K in a dilution dilatometer are reported for (N -methylacetamide + ethanol), and for (N-methylacetamide + ethanol + water). The results have been analysed using various correlation equations and the possibility of predicting the ternary VEvalues from the binary ones is examined. The results for (N -methylacetamide + ethanol) are compared with previously obtained data for (N -methylacetamide, or N -methylformamide, or N, N -dimethylformamide + water, or methanol, or ethanol).
