Abstract
Although biomicroscopy and indirect ophthalmoscopy remain the basis for studies in clinical ocular toxicology, evolving technologies, including fluorophotometry, Schiempflug photography, and electrophysiology of the visual system, are emerging as valuable tools in studying specific functions for possible adverse effects. This paper reviews ocular toxicology with emphasis on these contemporary technologies.
