Abstract
In the UK, almost all headache care management takes place within primary care. However, due to lack of training, few GPs are at present in a position to give their headache patients adequate care. MIPCA (Migraine In Primary Care Advisors) is an independent organisation with charitable status which has developed evidence-based, easy-to-use guidelines and algorithms to assist doctors, nurses and patients in the diagnosis and management of headache care.
