Abstract
The genera Trichotylenchus Whitehead and Telotylenchus Siddiqi are redefined to accommodate species with an asymmetrical esophagus but no elongated dorsal esophageal gland. The species Tylenchorhynchus uliginosus Siddiqi, T. papyrus Siddiqi, T. palustris Merny & Germani and T. bifascians Andrássy are transferred to Trichotylenchus.
