Abstract

The genus Paramyrmoecia is described and illustrated. The previously recorded species, P. bipustulatus and P. sanguinicollis are redescribed and new geographic distribution data are recorded. P. danielssoni sp.n. is described from Sénégal and Gambia. A key to species is provided and the relationship of the genus to other genera and subgenera of the Zyrasini is discussed.
