Abstract
The use of Computational Fluid Dynamics in the validation of UV disinfection systems is shown. Through full scale bioassay testing the CFD model is validated and applied to the complete range of intermediate UV systems. This allows using the CFD model in practical situations, where the actual pipe geometry will be different from the bioassay configuration.
