Abstract

Although successful compost market development is sometimes seen as complex, there are specific attributes to most successful programs, as well as actions that often doom many programs. Some of these attributes can also be related to other biosolids based products. Important attributes include producing a quality product, properly investing in your marketing program, and understanding your product and the ‘market’ itself. Further, branding your products and differentiating them in the marketplace can improve marketability and value.
