Abstract

The expansion of the web has reached outrageous proportions with the number of web communities existing and the number of those being created daily increasing dramatically. To parallel this phenomenon is the trend nowadays of mobile phone services. One of the most representative is the case of Greece, where in a period of five years about five million people subscribed for a telephone number for mobile devices. The communities are not static any more. The philosophy is: a universal community has to be mobile. This paper analysed the expansion of the community of SIG-GLUE in order to support mobile users with any necessary web service.
