Abstract
Laptop computers make it possible for researchers to record data in the field. Direct entry of data into a microcomputer reduces the possibility for error between the point of data collection and analysis. In many cases, money is saved by eliminating professional data entry from the data sheets. We estimate that our lab can save more than 700 each year on data transcription and data entry by using microcomputers in the field.
