Abstract
Women entrepreneurship is a growing trend in both developed and developing countries. It is critical that the motivations and results of women starting ventures within a developing country are understood in order to sustain this trend. This study identifies the factors that enable women to become entrepreneurs in the Ukraine. The findings are segmented into the entrepreneurs' personal characteristics, the reasons for their ventures, the characteristics of their business and operations, and problems for women in starting or maintaining their venture.
