Abstract

Re-orientation after graphing. It has been suggested that after the graph of a point has been drawn and the most probable value obtained, the inward bearings to additional uncomputed points should be re-orientated on the joins between the most probable value of the point and the points from which it was fixed. As these joins will be little different from the values of the bearings of the rays used to fix the point, it is usual to apply a correction using the formula, Arc = Radius × θ in radians, i.e.
