Abstract
Heat treatment of a nonwoven containing a bicomponent fibre increases the resistance of the fleece to a mechanical load. A slight decrease in the insulating characteristics of the modified material is observed, the stiffness of the fleece is a function of the conditions of heating and cooling the nonwoven material.
