Abstract
The influence of the speed of sound on the expansion coefficient of constrictions is considered. It is shown that the expansion equation for standard nozzles may be expressed in terms of the speed of sound. An analysis is presented in which the criterion of the range of applicability for the gas expansion equation beyond the nozzles is evaluated in measurements of the flow rate and quantity of gas.
