Abstract
This paper compares the opinion and isopreference methods used in the evaluation of the quality of telephonic transmission. The experimental data reported show the exactness of these two methods.Furthermore it verifies, experimentally, that the isopreference method supplies exact data in a greater number of circuit conditions than the opinion method. It suggests, therefore, the use of the isopreference method for the subjective evaluation of the transmission performance of a telephone system.
