Abstract

We present the stable homotopy classification of families of Fredholm and invertible singular integral operators with piecewise-continuous coeffcients in weighted L p -spaces with Khvedelidze weights. We obtain a new topological formula for the calculation of the indices of families. These results allowed the authors to investigate homotopy properties of bisingular operators.
