Abstract
Tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum, Alq3, is the most widely used electroluminescent material in organic light-emitting diode (OLED), chemistry. Single-crystal structure determination of a new polymorph of Alq3, designated as ε-Alq3, is described. There are three molecules of Alq3 in the asymmetric unit. This octahedrally coordinated complex crystallizes in the triclinic space group
