Abstract
This paper describes an evaluation study exploring the experiences of staff involved in the national sentinel audit for the management of venous leg ulcer pilot project. The method used was descriptive using semistructured telephone interviews with the nursing and audit leads for the project, and a number of nurses working in the community across a sample of national audit project sites. This paper presents some of the findings from the study, and outlines a number of important issues related to the implementation of national audit.
