Abstract

We applied atomic force microscopy (AFM) for studying the surface topography of NaKC4H4O6·4H2O (Rochelle Salt). In particular, temperature variation of the surface images was studied. Below the upper Curie point, a regular undulation of the crystal surface, which reflects monoclinic twin boundaries, was observed for the c-plate surface.
