Abstract
The relative signs of all the coupling constants involving 1 H, 29 Si and 31 P in ( 28 SiH 3 ) 2 P 29 SiH 3 and ( 28 SiH 3 ) 2 Sb 29 SiH 3 have been determined by 1 H-{ 29 Si} and 1 H-{ 31 P} ‘tickling' experiments. With the exception of 1 K ( 29 Si- 31 P), the reduced coupling constants are probably positive over one and three bonds, and negative over two and four bonds.
