《成吉思汗评传》对成吉思汗的成长过程及其战胜札木合、王罕，招降西域，速灭西辽，统一北中国，继而攻夏克金、西征中亚的历史过程，进行了全面阐述。《忽必烈评传》系统研究了忽必烈由蒙古游牧草原贵族，逐渐转变为一个思想开明，适应中原封建地主经济发展要求的封建统治者的过程。
