Abstract
SUMMARYLiterature on Lemnaceae is reviewed with regard to experimental control of flowering, gibbosity and turion formation by chelating agents, metal ions and growth regulators. Possible mechanisms by which chelating agents and metal ions influence flowering are discussed.
