Between Salafism and Terrorism of Takfir
Description
The Salafi or infidelization Salafi (Takfiri) phenomenon is not new in the Arab world. But its expansion and adoption of terrorism in the manner we have seen in the last decade, that is after the US invasion of Iraq, and then after the "Arab Spring" wave of uprisings and the repercussions and collapses in many Arab countries, gave the infidelization (Takfiri) phenomenon another dimension. The collapse of the state in Iraq following the US invasion in 2003 led to the availability of a jihadist suitable environment. In addition, the circumstances of the invasion and its repercussions helped to crystallize agenda for a new generation of that Salafi followers different from its predecessors in terms of prioritizing and directing their attacks towards groups within Arab society rather than the global "infidelity" head in the United States. This book includes eight chapters on Salafist thought and Takfiri terrorism, most of which have been published in the "Al Mustaqbal Al-Arabi" journal, and are re-published in this book because of its significance, whether in the facts, the analysis or the alternative visions it provide to face the Takfiri phenomenon and the resulting terrorism and destruction.
