The Beginnings of the Arab Awareness towards the Zionist Project Dangers, 1897-1917
Description
The purpose of this study is to shed light on the beginnings of Arab awareness of the Zionist threat, indicators and signs, highlighting its importance, its impact and the development it has undergone, and how the Arabs faced that danger. It also aims to know how well and up to the event the Arabs in that confrontation were, and identify of the drawbacks in their battle and the elements and circumstances in which the Zionists succeeded where the Arabs failed. The importance of this study is that it examines and monitors Arab awareness on the one hand, and how this awareness formed and developed with the progress of the Zionist scheme, the circumstances that accompanied this progress, and the mechanism and means used to express this awareness. Its importance also lies in the period covered by the study on the other hand, from the first Zionist Congress in Palais in 1897, to Balfour Declaration in November 1917, which was crucial as it conferred the decisions of that Conference legitimacy and the international umbrella.
