Advances in aerospace technologies have set new standards in the modern world and have become the benchmark for innovations in various fields. Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).This special collection covers aspects of research in aerodynamics, aerospace structures and materials, propulsion, aerospace design, flight performance, system performance, aerospace management and operation, space systems and aerospace reviews. The bi-annual conference was founded in Malaysia in 2005 as a platform for the regional aerospace communities to gather and share recent developments, but it is now attracting participants from as far as Europe and North America as well. The 93 papers from this year's conference cover aerodynamics, aerospace structures and material, propulsion, aerospace design, aerospace systems performance, flight performance, space systems, aerospace management and operations, and aerospace reviews. The topics include the effects of spatial resolution in turbulent boundary layers with pressure gradients, fatigue damage mechanisms of titanium in inert environment, designing and testing a vertical-axis wind turbine with pitch control, analyzing the stability of a light aircraft configuration using computational fluid dynamics, and analyzing the reliability of power and propulsion systems for a stratospheric airship.
