Other major topics include synthesis and processing of metals, intermetallics and oxides, polymers, nanocomposites and others by different techniques, including mechanosynthesis and mechanochemistry. Also covered are the structural characterization of nanophase materials and the structural evolution caused by mechanical treatment. The magnetic, mechanical and electrochemical properties of different nanostructured materials are presented, along with investigations in the fields of thermodynamics and modelling, mechanisms and kinetics of loss of metastability and coarsening. Progress in the understanding of the basic mechanisms of the fabrication processes is being reviwed, as well as the development of compaction techniques for industrial applications.
