Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).This book comprises the over 100 contributions that were presented at the International Conference on Polycrystalline Semiconductors which took place from September 10 to 13, 2002, in Nara, Japan. The proceedings cover many aspects of polycrystalline semiconductors and clearly reflect, in particular, the strongly increasing economic importance of polycrystalline materials in devices such as flat-panel displays and thin-film solar cells. In addition, many fundamental aspects ranging from defect engineering problems to detailed engineering questions were widely covered.Thus, as in the case of previous POLYSE proceedings, a world-wide community having broad interests ranging from basic science through to device engineering was enabled to conduct many fruitful discussions at the very highest level and thereby advance semiconductor science and engineering.
