Description
This book provides an introduction to the interconnections between homelessness, poverty and unemployment. Various populations are included, such as homeless youth and families, the elderly and individuals who have experienced traumatic events as these populations are most effected in terms of homelessness and poverty. Chapters are included that can be applied to a conceptual framework if social estrangement and include such domains as societal disaffiliation, psychological dysfunction, issues of human capital and the culture of homelessness. These domains are discussed in the first chapter and form the rationale and description for the various chapters included.
