Lastly, Professor Beckerman's ""Are Material Resources a Restraint on Economic Growth?"" describes why avaricious human beings will continue to eat, build, and multiply. He questions the prophecies of Thomas Malthus by asserting ""...we are not going to starve to death anytime soon.""
