Abstract

Gd2O2S: Pr, Ce, F ceramics with good scintillation properties were fabricated by pressureless sintering in nitrogen atmosphere. The effects of annealing temperature on the intensity of X‐ray excited luminescence and light output were investigated. The light output strongly depends on the thickness of Gd2O2S: Pr, Ce, F ceramics. Thermoluminescence properties of the samples were studied after X‐ray irradiation in the temperature range of 77–438 K.
