Abstract

A novel type of compact and high selectivity dual-band bandpass filter (BPF) using nested dual-mode defected ground structure resonators (DDGSRs) is proposed in this paper. Using the structure parameters of the nested DDGSRs, dual-band BPF can be realized with a simple feed mechanism. Meanwhile, four transmission zeros and a wide upper stopband are generated simultaneously to achieve high selectivity. An experimental dual-band BPF located at 2.3 and 3.3 GHz is designed and fabricated. The measured results agree well with the simulated ones.
