Abstract

An inspection of the tubes in the rear waterwall of the gas-and-oil-fired high-pressure drum boiler has revealed a deflection of 110 mm toward the furnace. It is proved that this damage is caused by a pressure drop in the boiler furnace during an emergency shutdown.
