Abstract
Mode charts for ferrite phase shifters, circulators and tunable resonators become material independent when the signal frequency and applied field are normalized to material magnetization. A range of normalized design charts are presented for partially-magnetized and saturated ferrite devices biased above or below ferrimagnetic resonance. Examples taken from practical devices are used to illustrate the use of these charts.
