Abstract
The Cerenkov radiation excited by a solid relativistic electron beam in a plasmafilled slow-wave structure was analysed recently (Wu et al., 1996, Int. J. Electronics , 81 , 207). It is the purpose of the present comment to show that the boundary condition at the beam-plasma interface used in this work is incorrect.
