Abstract

In this paper, we apply the modified variational iteration method (MVIM) to investigate propagating traveling solitary wave solutions of seventh order generalized KdV (SOG-KdV) equations, which play a very important role in mathematical physics and engineering sciences. The fact that proposed MVIM solves nonlinear problems without using Adomian's polynomials is a clear advantage of this algorithm over the decomposition method.
