Abstract
The relationship between the increasing rate of holdup and the material-feeding rate were examined. From the results, the maximum crushing capacity was defined as the maximum feed rate where holdup did not change with time and remained at a constant value. The effect of the hammer rotation speed, , and the reduction ratio, Dv/dv, on the maximum crushing capacity, Fmax, was expressed as follows:
