Abstract

SUMMARY After the publication of the scientific instructions of Jean-Baptiste Lamarck and Philippe Pinel, here we present other unpublished documents (by Louis-Claude-Marie Richard, Lezerme and Antoine-François Fourcroy). These documents relate to the expedition, in search of La Perouse, made by D'Entrecasteaux (1791), the scientific organization of which was under the direction of the Societe d'histoire naturelle of Paris.
