Abstract

In 1963 the painting of A white and a brown horse in a wooded landscape (fig. 1) was exhibited as the work of an unknown monogrammist AB. Comparison of the monogram with Abraham Bosschaert's signature, and stylistic comparison of the painting with two signed fruit still lifes which have been identified as Bosschaert's work since the painting of fig. 1 first surfaced, now enable that painting to be attributed to Abraham Bosschaert.
