Abstract

Telotylenchus whitei n. sp. from South Australia is described. It differs from other Telotylenchus species by having a lip cap and very long stylet. Because of these differences the generic diagnosis of Telotylenchus Siddiqi, 1960 is emended. Telotylenchus hastulatus (Colbran, 1960) n. comb. is proposed because it lacks a lip cap, four grooves dividing the lips into lobes, has a long stylet, a single line in the lateral field, a female tail longer than three anal body diameters and cuticularised plates about the male cloaca.
