Abstract
This genus now contains three species, all of which commonly are found on various species of Desmodium. The generic type, M. variabilis Patch, 1909 (= Siphonophora desmodii Williams, 1911, n. syn.) is redescribed; its known range is from Maine and Connecticut to Iowa. New species are: M. desmodiorum (Florida to Pennsylvania and Illinois) and M. olivei (Puerto Rico to District of Columbia and Illinois).
