Abstract
One of the biggest chores associated with rearing milkweed bugs (Hemiptera: Lygaeidae) on their natural diet of milkweed seeds is the annual collection of the seeds. This paper describes a machine which can be easily and cheaply made with shop facilities and which mechanically removes milkweed seeds from their pods.
