Abstract

The behaviour of an important building, the Fundeni Hospital in Bucharest, was a good example of the response of a multistory reinforced concrete framed structure to seismic actions in 1977 and 1986. The methods used to repair this building proved effective, as demonstrated by the good behaviour of the building during a third earthquake in 1990. The description of the features of the Fundeni Hospital building in Bucharest is the object of this paper.
