Abstract

A stochastic model for single anchors in uncracked concrete under centric tension is proposed. The corresponding limit state functions for concrete cone and steel failure are formulated and their variables defined. By way of an example, a probabilistic analysis for a typical anchor is performed. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that the safety index of an anchor is governed by the stochastic definition of the applied loads.
