Abstract
In a field trial, dusting sulfur at 2000 lb/acre appeared to check the spread of Fomes annosus in large centers of infection but 2000 lb ammonium nitrate did not. Sulfur produced long-term reductions in soil pH and microbial activity, but changes were less pronounced with ammonium nitrate. Forest Sci. 19:75-76.
